Children’s Earning Plan

PURPOSE: The purposes of the plan are to permit children to earn money while learning the Techniques of Research.

The projects are to be in addition to regular school work and may be done at anytime the child sees fit so long as it is within regularly scheduled hours.

Any research technique is acceptable so long as the work is the child’s alone.

Any reference material is acceptable; books (biographies, autobiographies, encyclopedias, bible, dictionary, thesaurus, or other book) magazines of any kind, newspapers or newsletters.

Projects are to be graded by either parent in relation to how advanced the child is.

The prices of the projects are determined by the difficulty of the research, subject material, and the length the parent thinks the project might be.

If a child wishes to tackle a project not on the list, she may discuss it with the parent of her choice and the parent may decide to accept it only if the parent chooses to do so.

Projects will be paid for only if the parent decides the child has done a thorough and excellent job for that child’s ability to do so. If a child should not do a good job, the project will not be paid.

FORMAT:
All projects are to be written on notebook paper and should contain: The statement of the project, the girl’s name, and the date the report is turned in.

Spelling WILL count.

PREREQUISITES TO THIS PLAN:

1.         define the word “prerequisite,”

2.         write a short report on what you understand to be the meaning of the word “Plagiarism.”

TIME: No girl should do more than 2 projects per week (unless you get special permission) in order to prevent pinching the family budget and to prevent injuring school work

PURPOSE:

The BIG ENCHILADA is a temporary, extreme measure and is designed to create extra parental pressure to attain what the parents believe to be “MERELY ADEQUATE” and proper levels of performance in the areas of:

Housekeeping.
Manners (to parents, siblings and others),
Attention to Duty,
Unsolicited response to the needs of the household and its inhabitants.

JURISDICTION:   THE BIG ENCHILADA RULES apply to all Children.

GENERAL RULES:

IF ONE CHILD MESSES UP, ALL SIBLINGS GETS ASSESSED A KABONG in other words

EVERY child will have a kabong assessed if any child shall be adjudged a violator of the BIG ENCHILADA RULES in either:

1.       Parental Summary Judgement; (this means parents decide with
NO discussion with kids, whatever); or

2.       A Parental Court (where one parent decides there is a Material Question of Fact as to the accused or some unknown member of the group of children’s actual violation of the BIG ENCHILADA RULES).

(You can hire your sibling to represent you as your Attorney at the Parental Court Trial.)

CALM TRIALS:

Trials in which parties become emotional will be suspended with the kabong penalties remaining payable until the Parental Judge is satisfied that the participants are in Emotional Control.

INCENTIVE TO REMAIN CALM:

“Kabongs paid” in cases WHERE A TRIAL IS SUSPENDED FOR EMOTIONALISM and the accused is later found to be “Innocent” will not be allowed as a set off against any future kabongs.

LIFTING THE RULES:

At the sole discretion of the parents, the BIG ENCHILADA RULES may be lifted PROVIDED THAT 3 UNEVENTFUL DAYS HAVE PASSED WITHOUT INCIDENT after the payment of each and every kabong by 100% of the kids.

MUST LIFT FOR ALL:

The BIG ENCHILADA rules may not be lifted for one or more children in a group unless they are lifted for all children in that group.

NOT TRANSFERABLE:

Kabongs are not transferable to another and may not be paid by another child … even if the child is the ACTUAL GUILTY PARTY who causes the whole group to be “kabonged.”

PARENTAL JUDGE SELECTS THE PROPER PUNISHMENT TYPE KABONG:

The Parental Judge, acting alone, whether acting Summarily or Assessing Punishment upon a Finding of Fact in a Trial, and after hearing a Motion by Defendant or through Counsel, as to What type Punishment is deemed “appropriate”, shall assess the Kabong it deems appropriate.

Defendants and Sibling Attorneys representing them are hereby notified that “You “Only Get One Shot at it” and after the Closing of the Presentation of the Admissable Evidence, there is NO Appeal to the Parental Judges Ruling, except as to a Procedural Inadequacy at Trial … and you’ll never get that in MY Court.

TYPES OF KABONGS:

Restrictions from telephone privileges.
Restriction to house and/or room.
Restriction from athletic classes and meets.
Loss of dating.
Loss of parties.
Loss of swimming.
Get-togethers and cancellation of camp.
Loss of the Privilege to have Visitors.
Loss of TV Privileges.
Yard Work.
Extra Household Duties.
Forced Servitude for the benefit of siblings or other children.
Washing of wine bottles.
Flogging.

EXEMPTIONS:

BIG ENCHILADA RULES shall apply to all persons under the age of 17 collectively as a group, but shall apply individually and separately from the group to all persons 17 years of age or older.

We, the undersigned, Understand the above Rules.

When I was young and fancy free,
My folks had no fine clothes for me.
All I got was words:

Gott Zu Danken – Thank God
Gott wet Geben – God will provide
Zoll men nor leben un sein Gezunt.
We should only live and be healthy.

When I was wont to travel far,
They didn’t provide me with a car.
All I got was words:

Geh Gezunt – Go in health
Geh Pamelach – Go carefully
Hab a glikliche reize – Have a safe trip.

I wanted to increase my knowledge,
But they couldn’t send me to college.
All I got was words:

Hab Seichel – Have common sense
Zei nicht ken nahr – Don’t be a fool
Toire is die beste achoire.
Learning is its own best reward.

The years have flown, the world has turned,
Things I’ve forgotten, things I’ve learned,
Yet I remember

Zag dem emes – Tell the truth
Gih Tzedakah – Be charitable
Hab rachmonus – Have compassion
Zei a mentch – Be a “mensch”

All I got was words.

I think men watch TV because it is a place in which they can “hide” from the world of pressure in which they work

and obtain detached personal gratification without having to expend any effort to get it.

Here, they can unwind and “lock out” interruptions from their mates, kids and troubles.

Robert Jorrie,

When the public competition with other males for the Breeding position with a particular female in societies social order

is over, because the Female has already selected,

and when the social significance of marriage that attaches to marriage in our society has been attained,

and which status he cannot attain from society by any other manner,

Many men (who had to elevate their sex drives during that competitive period so they could compete,)

no longer have any competitive need to elevate their sex drives to those levels anymore,

and their sex drive drops to normal levels.

This is from an idea relayed to me by Mallory Miller based on a book he thinks written by Dr. Donald Joy,

and perhaps named Tournament Males v Integrated Males.

Donald Joy

The Problem with Tradition
is that we Forget
that Those before us
chose that Tradition to Emphasize Something Useful.

And we follow it Blindly
without knowing Why we do so,
until cleaving to it obscures and replaces
the very Truth it was meant to Enhance.

“Nothing in the World can take the place of Persistence.

Talent will not;

nothing is More Common than Unsuccessful Men with Talent.

Genius will not;

Unrewarded Genius is almost a Proverb.

Education will not;

the World is full of Educated Derelicts.

Persistence and Determination Alone are Omnipotent.

The slogan “Press On” has solved

and always will solve the problems of the Human Race.”
