About Bobby

Robert “Bobby” Jorrie was born in San Antonio and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1974. He is the proud father of four daughters and has eight beloved grandchildren. He holds his BS from the University of Texas in Aerospace Engineering, his JD from St. Mary’s University, and his LLM (Masters in Taxation) from New York University with numerous advanced education courses.

Bobby was a Board Certified Estate Tax and Probate Lawyer (as Certified by the Texas Board of Specialization) for many years. Before retiring from law in 2001, he held a wide range of professional memberships including Fellowship in the College of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Academy of Probate and Trust Lawyers, and the San Antonio Bar Association. His work in the legal profession was widely published and he is most noted for speaking on a wide range of Estate Planning issues. He authored, sponsored and arranged enactment of four important Texas statutes. He has many years of experience teaching related topics at St. Mary’s Law School, Trinity University and Texas Instruments, as well as numerous seminars for Bank Trust departments, corporations and professional organizations.

As the General Partner of Veritas Properties, LP,  his experience also includes working in his family’s retail furniture business for ten years as President/CEO, Merchandise Manager, Vice President of Operations, Senior Sales Trainer and Credit and Collections Manager. For 15 years, he was the Founder and Managing Owner/Partner of Jorrie, Zucker and Associates, Inc., a 10-attorney law firm. In record time of under 10 years, the firm obtained the coveted “AV Top Rating” of Martindale Hubbell, a publication that rates the Ethicalness and Quality of law firms in the United States. In 1990, Bobby re-entered solo practice and specialized in Estate Planning until he retired to focus on his real estate holdings.

Bobby has a long appreciation of Harley Davidson motorcycles, gorgeous, enchanting women, classy female nude paintings and antique furniture. He occasionally indulges in sipping wonderful old whiskeys when in interesting intellectual company.

A lifelong lover of beautiful, fast cars, Bobby says Baby Divine knew only one word … “More” … to which a beloved friend added … “Go Faster!”  He loves driving his Jag with the top down in cold and rainy weather, travelling the world to investigate historical sites, and hosting unforgettable Halloween costume parties.

A great admirer of Excellence and Genius … even wacky genius … Life is NEVER boring around Bobby Jorrie!
